Walking
Target Age Group: Anyone older than 5 years old

Why it Works
Impvoves sleep:Being more physically active during the day helps children fall asleep easier at night because they exerted more energy during the day
Instructions:
- Overview:
- Walking is a physical exercise that can have many benefits for both the mind and body
- Step 1: Try Taking 15–20 Minutes a Day
- Walks can be as long or as short as one prefers, depending on endurance
- Step 2: Inside vs. Outside
- Whether you are inside or outside, walking provides benefits through movement
- Walking outside offers extra benefits such as fresh air, new scenery, and natural inclines
- If walking inside, try incorporating games to make it engaging
- Example: put on songs you enjoy and walk for their duration, then add a “cool down” song to relax and collect your thoughts
- Step 3: Set Goals During Your Walk
- Challenge yourself to find or notice different things before finishing your walk
- This acts as a great distraction from stressful thoughts
- Examples of goals:
- Spot someone wearing a pink shirt
- Find three round rocks
- Notice a cloud shaped like an animal
